I am the new Director of Pathways Academy at Florida Community College in downtown Jacksonville. The school specializes in the targeting of students who are behind on credits, or have left school without graduating and desire a conventional high school diploma. The campus also affords students the opportunity to earn college credit while finishing requirements for their high school diploma. The program is cost free and students are assisted with transportation and other issues related to their education. As part of our charter agreement with Duval County Schools we must locate and recruit individuals and groups from the community who would be willing to spend one hour each week mentoring our students by offering encouragement, listening to their concerns and advocating for them when needed. In writing your group it is my hope to secure some time where I might visit personally and explain exactly how this effort works and to hopefully find individuals who would be willing to assist us. Being new to the city myself this issue presents multiple problems for me as the campus leader in that I know almost no one in the area. My own son being a fireman suggested I try the local fire departments and this is my first foray in that direction. Anything you could do to help or assist me would be much appreciated. Your time and consideration mean a great deal. Should you reciprocate please call me on my personal cell phone at 904-400-8959. Regards, Chris Skipper Director – Pathways Academy FCCJ - Downtown

Hey guys, love the site, my dad is a retired lieutenant for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue in MD, and my brother is currently a firefighter for MCFRS in MD on HAZMAT. I am a pilot, at Jacksonville University. The Delta Song is a 757, not a 767, just to let you guys know. Again, very cool vids, it combines my 2 favorite things, flying and fire trucks.
