I am the new Director of Pathways Academy at Florida Community College in downtown Jacksonville. The school specializes in the targeting of students who are behind on credits, or have left school without graduating and desire a conventional high school diploma. The campus also affords students the opportunity to earn college credit while finishing requirements for their high school diploma. The program is cost free and students are assisted with transportation and other issues related to their education. As part of our charter agreement with Duval County Schools we must locate and recruit individuals and groups from the community who would be willing to spend one hour each week mentoring our students by offering encouragement, listening to their concerns and advocating for them when needed. In writing your group it is my hope to secure some time where I might visit personally and explain exactly how this effort works and to hopefully find individuals who would be willing to assist us. Being new to the city myself this issue presents multiple problems for me as the campus leader in that I know almost no one in the area. My own son being a fireman suggested I try the local fire departments and this is my first foray in that direction. Anything you could do to help or assist me would be much appreciated. Your time and consideration mean a great deal. Should you reciprocate please call me on my personal cell phone at 904-400-8959. Regards, Chris Skipper Director – Pathways Academy FCCJ - Downtown

Hey guys, love the site, my dad is a retired lieutenant for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue in MD, and my brother is currently a firefighter for MCFRS in MD on HAZMAT. I am a pilot, at Jacksonville University. The Delta Song is a 757, not a 767, just to let you guys know. Again, very cool vids, it combines my 2 favorite things, flying and fire trucks.

My wife Denise & I were on Alligiant air from Sanford, Fl to Lexington,KY last Thursday Evening. Our plane experienced a bad engine. The pilot said we had to make an emergency landing. The pilot said JAX was the closest airport. We landed safely! It was reassuring seeing all the fire trucks by the runway when we were landing. Also, when we landed, we saw all the fire trucks heading toward our plane. Thank you for all you do! Happy Holidays!! Sincerely, Jim & Denise Tharp Cincinnati, OH

Would you like an integrated look for your organization or team? Something that promotes unity and tells others who you are? Something that promotes team spirit and builds awareness. Then you will want to have your logo embroidered on Uniforms, Polo shirts, Sweat shirts, Caps, T-shirts etc. Name tags cannot be seen nor read a few feet away, but your business logo can easily be seen. The customers easily identifies your staff. This is what most places in major cities like Chicago, New-York, Los Angeles, Miami & Orlando have done. Some gave their workers two uniforms each with their logo. Then if the staff wants a third uniform they pay for it. However, you can decide for them to pay half of the first uniform, then they pay full price for the second. Or they could be required to pay for the entire uniform pay-roll deducted. Either way it builds unity, morale, makes for happy employees, increases productivity and business. My name is Benjos I am an Independent Representative for LogoWearDirect a fast growing provider of custom logo apparel. We provide name brand garments for work, recreation with or without embroidery. We embroider your business logo, name or design on items at extremely affordable prices, we do it better. Packaged and delivered to you. No order is too large for us, everything we sell is in stock in the 140,000 sqft warehouse. This means faster turnaround for you and better price. If not in the catalog we can still provide it for you. Anywhere the staff goes wearing your uniform during, after or before work is a walking advertisement for you “get noticed”. Our competitors charge $9-22 for 5,000 stitches of embrodeiry. We ask for only $4.50 for 8,000 stitches( most logos are within 8,000 stitches). GREAT IMAGE HELPS BOTTOM LINE. We also have 20,000 free logos to choose from on my website www.logoweardirect.biz/benjos68. Please consider me a partner in creating a great image for your organization. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about this. Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.
